Rehabilitative and Therapeutic Massage is my passion. I chose Massage Therapy because it feeds my need to help others as well as my desire to alleviate pain and promote healing.
My background started in X-rays, and shortly thereafter advanced towards Physical Therapy. Massage has always been an interest of mine for as long as I can remember. I chose to pursue it once it became clear to me the satisfaction I found in it.

Trigger point therapy is specifically designed to alleviate the source of the client’s pain through cycles of isolated pressure and release. Sessions are meant to be more therapeutic and results oriented than luxurious and relaxing. Trigger point therapy is best suited for people who have injuries, chronic pain, or a specific issue or condition.
Myofascial massage targets the body’s connective tissues (fascia) that surround your muscle and bones. The sustained pressure applied to these areas is meant to release the restriction in the connective tissue so that you have greater range of motion and less pain. Pressure is maintained for 3-5 minutes at a time in the targeted area. The fibers must be allowed sufficient time to soften and stretch. No lubricant is added to the skin.
Aromatherapy uses specific scents from essential oils in order to enhance the massage session. Essential oils are chosen based on the needs of the client to relieve stress and is typically used in conjunction with swedish massage. Aromatherapy can help boost your mood, reduce anxiety, and encourage emotional healing.
Lymphatic massage is a form of gentle massage that encourages the movement of lymph fluids around the body. It directly supports the lymphatic system which helps remove waste and toxins from the bodily tissues.
Sports massage is a targeted form of massage for athletes, typically given before, during and after events. It helps relieve swelling, reduce tension, improve flexibility, prevent injuries, and reduce fatigue with the
goal to improve the athletes performance.
Cupping is a safe, traditional treatment that can help resolve chronic muscle tightness and pain faster than massage therapy alone. The cups use negative energy (suction) to pull tissue and bring blood to the treatment area.
Prenatal massage is a nurturing massage that focuses on the special needs of mothers- to-be during pregnancy. Positioning, pillows, and cushions are used to enhance support, decrease pressure and increase relaxation for both body and mind. Mother and baby share in the benefits as stress and tension melt away, leaving you feeling balanced and energized.

Your session will take place in a safe & comfortable quiet room. Soft music will be played to help you relax. You will lie on a table especially designed for your comfort with an adjustable face rest, bolsters for your knees and ankles, and a heat option.
Most massage and bodywork techniques are traditionally performed with the client unclothed; however, it is entirely up to you what you want to wear. You should undress to your level of comfort. You will be properly draped during the entire session.
No, the therapist will always leave the room while you undress, relax onto the table, and cover yourself with a clean sheet - and if desired, a blanket as well. Your therapist will knock before re-entering the room to make sure you are fully covered and ready to start your massage.
During the massage, make yourself comfortable. The therapist will either gently move you or tell you what is needed throughout the session. Most therapists prefer you not to help (unless asked). Many people just close their eyes and relax, communicating if/when they need more or less pressure, or anything else relevant to the session. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask.
Most people feel very relaxed. Some experience freedom from long-term aches and pains developed from tension or repetitive activity. After an initial period of feeling slowed down, people often experience increased energy, heightened awareness, and greater productivity which can last for days. Sometimes you will feel a little sore from the session, depending on the level of pressure you prefer or need.
Massage and bodywork can help release chronic muscular tension and pain, improve circulation, increase joint flexibility, reduce mental and physical fatigue and stress, promote faster healing of injured muscular tissue, improve posture, and reduce blood pressure. Massage is also known to promote better sleep, improve concentration, reduce anxiety, alleviate migraines/headaches, and create an overall sense of well-being.
